It parked itself. It got lost on the way back.
It took me to the post office, parked itself, and pulled out of the spot on its own. But with home as the destination it went down dead-end streets, turned around in a house's yard, and went back into the same street. The improvements are real, and there are still situations it doesn't handle well.

Compared to v14.3.9
Improvements (4)
- ✓It handles speed humps and bumps better
Not 100% yet, but it's noticeable compared with v14.3.10: it detects them and slows down earlier. On the way back it took the bump on its own at about 13 mph. On the way out I had to step in, so the score doesn't reward it, but the improvement is there.
- ✓The T intersection (leaving home), with a little throttle
It waited a long time, I gave it a little throttle, and it went, made the turn correctly, and kept going. With older versions it got stuck in the middle of the intersection. This one is assisted.
- ✓It parked itself at the post office
It pulled in and parked quickly, without hesitating. With older versions parking was the biggest problem.
- ✓It pulled out of the spot on its own
I turned it on in the parking lot and it backed out by itself, with cars parked on one side, no problem.
Known issues (3)
- ⚠Dead-end streets and a house's yard
Leaving the post office with home as the destination, it went down dead-end streets, turned around in a house's yard, went back into the same street and, when I cleared the destination, parked and FSD turned itself off. I drove it out of that side road myself for about half a minute (a separate note, not counted as an intervention). I don't know if it was the maps, the navigation, or FSD itself.
- ⚠Potholes
Leaving home and arriving, I took the wheel: it was going too fast for that street. Two of the three interventions.
- ⚠The speed bump on the way out
It detects it better, but it didn't slow down enough to let it go over on its own. The third intervention.

Is FSD getting better in Puerto Rico? Through v14.3.5 the score was editorial; from v14.3.6 it is the FSD Score. The two scales are not directly comparable.
Previous releases
Same structure, never competing for the fold.
v14.3.96 ▼Sep 13, 2026It went up and down to Lares on roads where sometimes only one car fits, and I never had to take the wheel. But twice in the same day it was heading into oncoming traffic. That is a severe failure, and on its own it holds the score at 6.0.
Issues
- Into oncoming traffic, twice in the same day
- Emergency lights in the opposite lane: the overreaction is back
- Potholes, it still doesn't avoid them
- Parking is still the weak point
- Driving against traffic holds the score at 6.0
Improvements
- Narrow mountain roads, no hesitation
- Where only one car fits, it waited for the oncoming one
- The turn onto the main avenue, right this time
v14.3.88.2 ▲Sep 6, 2026Two trips, 254 miles, and not once did I have to intervene while it was driving. It drives better than it parks: the 8.2 reflects how it drove, and parking counts against its own category.
Issues
- Parking is the weak point, and it is consistent
- The pothole it saw coming
- Wrong maps
- No safety flags; parking costs points
Improvements
- Speed bumps and dips, much improved
- Not one intervention across 254 miles
- Obstacles and pedestrians, no drama
v14.3.76 ▲Aug 23, 2026Luquillo to Aguadilla in a downpour: 103.3 miles, 99% on FSD, and one intervention. I didn't take the wheel for anything dangerous; I did it because the car left me too far from the ticket machine.
Issues
- Stopped too far from the ticket machine
- Two safety flags cap the score at 6.0
Improvements
- Parked itself twice
- Waited before merging
- Handled speed bumps without help
- Cyclists on the right
v14.3.65 ▼Jul 31, 2026Much more natural behavior with an oncoming ambulance — no overcorrecting, no unnecessary braking. But everyday problems piled up: it struggled to get moving on the way out of the house, again approached speed bumps too fast, hesitated merging onto the main avenue, and ended up parked in a non-designated spot, blocking other cars.
Issues
- Failed while parking
- Struggled to get moving on the way out of the house
- Speed bumps — still a recurring problem
- Hesitant merging onto the main avenue
- Obstacle avoidance too abrupt
- Wide turns and late lane selection
Improvements
- Better ambulance behavior
v14.3.58.2 ●Jul 25, 2026First drive from the Tesla Service Center to home. Aside from profile speed handling — I had to switch profiles myself to avoid a ticket — behavior felt practically the same as v14.3.4. Emergency-vehicle reading improved. The home speed bump still isn't detected, and I still haven't tried the left turn out of the house.
Issues
- Profile speed handling
- Indecisive lane changes (even in Mad Max)
- Home exit speed bump
- Left turn out of the house — still untested
Improvements
- Better emergency-vehicle reading
v14.3.48.2 ●Jun 21, 2026Father's Day, in the rain, with a 'FSD degraded' warning on screen — and it drove like it was nothing. The usual doubts… and one where the one who failed was me.
Issues
- Exit speed bump
- Exit crossing (4 lanes)
- Final speed bump (same spot)
Improvements
- Rain + 'FSD degraded' warning
- Exited the narrow driveway on its own
- Auto-park waiting for the gate
v14.3.38 ▲May 30, 2026First drive with a genuinely good feeling in a long time.
Issues
- Ambulance with lights
- Intersections & home speed bump
- Plaza Las Américas
Improvements
- Garage exit
- San Patricio Supercharger
- Best Buy at Río Hondo — point-to-point
- D1 Racing Track, Dorado · clean arrival
v14.3.26.5 ▼May 15, 2026From 90% to 10% success on the same exit. One of the worst recent versions.
Issues
- Hesitation
- Speed control
- Puerto Rico reality
Improvements
- New features
- Parking + lane changes
v13.2.99 ●Jan 10, 2026The benchmark against which every release is measured. Solid decisions, strategic waiting.
The home test.
Two spots on the way out of my house, the same ones every version. The dip, which no version has taken at the right speed yet. And the crossing onto a four-lane avenue with constant traffic, split by a guardrail. This shows whether the new version handles them, without letting them sink the score for everything else.
v13.2.9 and v14.3.2 were measured as a success rate over many exits; from v14.3.3 each evaluated trip records how it went. “Partly” means it managed, but not under the condition that matters (for example, with no traffic).
The dip is a capability flag: it costs points within its category but does not cap the score. The exit also costs points if the car struggles to pull away or merge, but an unsafe left turn or stopping mid-crossing is a safety flag and does cap it. How it is calculated →
v13.2.9 → … → v14.3.9 → v14.3.12.
This table repeats identically every review. Same criteria, version after version. For an interactive view with any pair of versions, open Compare →
Each criterion runs 1–10 unless otherwise noted. Through v14.3.5 the scores are editorial; from v14.3.6 (right of the dashed line) they come from the 65-question FSD Score. The two scales are not directly comparable. “—” means that criterion does not exist in that system.
Same exit. Same table. Next review.
With every new version I repeat the same format — the house exit, the same criteria, the same table — so progress stays verifiable.
